Fritz M. Hessemer reminiscences of Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute, 1930-1993.

The collection contains photocopies of a letter to Hessemer from Paul W.E. Gehris, 10 April 1994, with reminiscences about Fritz's father, Paul Hessemer, an engineering instructor at Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute (WPI), and his ill health; a copper etching by Paul Hessemer of the northeast corner of Building #6, the Main Machine Shop, Textile Machine Works, Wyomissing, Pa., 1930 (with detailed explanation on the verso); memo to Kim Murphy from Fritz Hessemer with corrections and suggested improvements to WPI's Book of years, 1995; two photos of the WPI apprentice picnic, 1941, with many men identified; Fritz Hessemer's apprenticeship agreement with Textile Machine Works, 21 November 1938; and a 57-page computer printout of the oral tape Hessemer made of the 23 October 1993 WPI reunion.
